Horizon — plan sites before you fly
Look ahead in the same globe world you use for logging. Pick sites you’ll dive before you leave, see them next to places you’ve already been, then carry that plan into your trip.
Free: 1 Horizon site · Point: full Horizon · Not a deco planner · EU-hosted
What Horizon is
Recreational dive logbooks are great at remembering yesterday’s dive. Horizon is for the week before you fly: you choose sites you care about, pin them on your globe, and keep planning in the same private space as your logbook. When the trip starts, those places sit beside real dives and media instead of living only in a chat thread or spreadsheet.
Free includes one Horizon site so you can try the workflow. Point unlocks full Horizon, which is one of the clearest reasons the €39/year (or €4.99/month) tier exists if you travel for diving. Schools don’t pay for SharkPoint; divers choose Free or Point.
- Plan sites before you travel — same globe as logged dives
- Free: 1 Horizon site · Point: full Horizon
- Private by default; hosted in the EU / EEA
- Works with Trips when you turn a plan into a travel story
What Horizon is not
Horizon is not a deco planner, gas blender, or tissue model. It does not replace your dive computer or agency training materials. If you need technical planning software, use a dedicated planner. SharkPoint remains a globe-first logbook with planning that stays geographic and trip-oriented.
A simple workflow
- Browse or add sites you might dive (your own sites plus a catalog seed of about 2,200 dive spots and a growing open seed — not every reef on Earth).
- Mark Horizon sites before you leave home or the hotel.
- See planned places on the globe next to dives you’ve already logged.
- When you travel, keep the journey as a private trip story with places, dives and invited buddies.
- Share only what you choose — Storykaart without GPS when you tap share.

Why Horizon justifies Point for travellers
If you only log after the dive, Free may be enough: globe, limited dives, one buddy link, one Horizon site, 50 MB. If you regularly plan trips abroad — Egypt, the Red Sea, cold-water weekends, liveaboard weeks — Horizon becomes part of how you prepare. Point at €39/year or €4.99/month unlocks full Horizon, unlimited import, full buddy links, full print/PDF and 250 MB storage, with a 30-day trial after your first import or fifth logged dive. Schools and instructors don’t pay; divers subscribe if they stay.
Horizon also keeps honesty in the storefront: we do not claim deco parity, medical advice, agency-official status, or that every reef on Earth is in the catalog. Your own sites plus a catalog seed of about 2,200 dive spots — not every reef on Earth. Add places you dive; the catalog helps you start.
Export and account deletion live in the app. GDPR zip includes Subsurface SSRF XML plus JSON and a media manifest. UDDF export is not available. Print/PDF is separate from the GDPR zip. Details stay on /import and Privacy.
