What a SharkPoint trip is
When divers say “trip,” they often mean the whole journey: the week in Egypt, the weekend in Zeeland, the boat days and the shore dives in between. SharkPoint Trips treat that journey as a private travel story on the globe: one place where the route, the dives, the people you invited and the memories stay together.
That is different from stuffing dives into a folder named after a resort, and different from school or boat operations software that tracks checklists, paperwork or crew. Trips are for the divers living the story — shared only with buddies you choose.

What “trip” does not mean here
Elsewhere, “trips” can mean resort schedules, prep checklists, liveaboard booking tools or school/boat ops. SharkPoint does not claim to replace those. We mean the journey you lived — kept private unless you share. No open social trip feed. No partner or agency “official” claims on this page.

Use Horizon to plan sites before you fly (Free: 1 site; Point: full). Use Trips to keep the travel story together. Invite buddies with private links — Free includes 1 buddy link; Point unlocks full buddies. Storykaart and reel: you share, we post nothing; no GPS on what you share. Data hosted in the EU / EEA.
Platforms now: Windows, Android and web. Later: Linux, macOS, iOS (not in the stores yet). Point is €39/year or €4.99/month with a 30-day trial after first import or fifth dive. Schools don’t pay.
Travel story, not ops software
Dive travel creates a pile of artefacts: site names in a chat, a spreadsheet of days, photos on three phones, and a logbook that only remembers profiles. SharkPoint Trips pull the journey back into one private dossier on the globe so you can reopen the week later and see where you went with the people you invited.
That story stays private by default. You share with buddy links when you want. Storykaart and reel never auto-post, and shared cards do not include GPS. Data is hosted in the EU / EEA. Free includes 1 buddy link; Point unlocks full buddies, full Horizon, unlimited import, print and 250 MB — €39/year or €4.99/month, 30-day trial after first import or fifth dive. Schools don’t pay for SharkPoint as a channel.
We deliberately avoid calling Trips a social network or a complete dive app. Platforms today are Windows, Android and web; Linux, macOS and iOS come later and are not in the stores yet. Import Subsurface, UDDF and more in the app; GDPR export yes; UDDF export: no. Print/PDF is separate.
